Lixin Accounting Publishing House published the book "The Essence of Collections at the China Accounting Museum - Comprehensive Volume" in 2015. This volume is a 'portable' visual tour of a highly valued component of the museum's assets, designed to allow historians, students, and academics from all over the world to appreciate and share the museum's collection, in keeping with the museum's objective to promote cultural exchange and awareness.
The purpose of the China Accounting Museum is to promote human achievements in the field of accounting. This series, named The Essence of the Collections at the China Accounting Museum, is based on the museum's enormous collection of historic and cultural treasures. The early study for the book resulted in a graphic and literary depiction of human activities in accounting. There are six volumes in this series. Other proposed volumes will include accounting instruments, account books, deeds and receipts, financial reports, and certificates and licences, in addition to this comprehensive volume. Over the next few years, they will be released in instalments. This modest effort to disseminate accounting history and culture will be combined with other similar endeavours to expand accounting history research far into the future.
